The UKCS would like to send a senior trainee or newly qualified professional in any of the disciplines involved in the promotion of continence, to Cairo for this years ICS Conference with the objective of reporting on the main developments with a working title of ‘10 lessons from ICS Cairo’.
The Reporter will be expected to present a 20 minute review at the 2009 UKCS Scientific Conference in Swansea and provide an article. This article will be published on the UKCS main website with a link from the Conference website.
Applicants will be hosted to the Cairo Conference by the UKCS, with the possibility of support from corporate sponsorship. Basic air – travel, transfers in Cairo, hotel accommodation and Registration will be supported by the UKCS. Additionally the Reporter will receive complementary Registration only to the UKCS Annual Scientific Meeting in Swansea. All extras and out of pocket expenses will be the responsibility of the Reporter.
Applications are invited from UKCS Membership along with non members who attended the 2008 UKCS Annual Scientific Meeting from all specialities. Each year a new reporter will be ‘awarded’ the role.
Applications should be made to the Scientific Committee with a short CV and 300 word article on how they would go about reporting the event (Deadline 30th July 2008). Applications must be endorsed by the Head of Department and study leave must have been allocated.
